Biagio was not only a driver and guide, but also an incredible wealth of knowledge about the history of Siracusa and Sicily's relationship to the world. Biagio's explanations at the Greek archeological site made viewing the ruins come alive regarding the construction and uses of the various structures there. One particular highlight was in the Ear of Dyonisius cave. In a strong and well pitched baritone, he sang Italian, French, and Spanish songs the echoes were incredible. After our visit to Greek archeological site, we then went to Ortigia island. Because Biagio has been a life long inhabitant of Ortigia, not only did he show us the major sites on the island, but also the curious or hidden beauty places on the island. As part of the tour, Biagio took us to the restaurant Tempio di Athena where we had an excellent luncheon together. After the tour, my wife and I agreed that we were extremely fortunate to meet Biagio who is a gentleman and a warm, friendly person. We highly recommend this tour.

This was a wonderful tour with our guide, Biagio. He was knowledgeable, kind and had a good sense of humor. I highly recommend this tour!

Biagio was fabulous. He was full of information and spoke excellent English. We were a mixed group of travelers in our fifties and early twenties, and Biagio kept all of us fully engaged. The transportation was clean, comfortable and convenient. We had a short visit to Siracusa, and this tour allowed us to maximize our limited time. We included the food and wine experience at the end and had a delightful experience at Jobi. We enjoyed local sparking, white and red wines along with a taste of several local specialties. It was a wonderful end to the tour and definitely worth the additional expense. Ask Biagio to sing for you for a real treat.

Our guide, Biagio, made our day fabulous. His personality and expansive knowledge of his island, his city, and the flora are extraordinary. We all enjoyed our time.

We had a wonderful tour of the archaeological park and around Ortigia. Paolo was awesome and very knowledgeable. We would highly recommend him. We wish we had met him sooner to do some other tours with him.

Paolo gave us a great time in Syracusa. He picked us up at our hotel in his car and first took us to the archeological park where there are Greek and Roman ruins. As we walked thru the park Paolo regaled us with history and lore. He was very knowledgeable. After the park he drove back to Ortigia, found a parking spot and then gave us a great walking tour of the island. With each street he would point out fabulous historical details about the buildings and cultures of the past. We walked all the way to the lower tip where the natural spring emerges and the castle was built. He then took us to a nice sidewalk cafe where he had arranged a great lunch. He left us to indulge in great Sicilian wine and food.

What an amazing time we had! We are a family of five (3 boys 6-15 yrs old). Our guide Paolo was great! He wanted to show and tell us as much as possible but was also so accommodating when we need to take a snack or picture break. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about ortiga/Syracuse! Also the wine bar for the tour was top notch! The food and wine was out of this world as was the information about the wine. I would book this tour again when we have friends or family in town!

A great trip to beautiful Syracuse with delicious lunch and knowledgeable guide. Unfortunately the archaeological site was closed due to flooding and a few things closed because of Covid but these things were beyond the organiser’s control. Driven there and back by Elena, a very careful driver and good company.

Our tour guide Biagio unfortunately was not good. He is a lovely very nice gentleman and I’m sorry to be providing this feedback but this tour was very demanding physically and he was not in the best shape for it. He went way too slow and we missed seeing key landmarks because of that. He didn’t give us much information, most of the time it was a quiet stroll and he had no answers for questions we asked. It may have been a language barrier or lack of knowledge. He did tell us a lot about the plants (which we were not interested in). Way too much money for the lack of education we felt by the end. The ristorante that was part of this tour was outstanding though.
