Positano

The charm of The villages along the Amalfi Coast lies not only in the towns themselves, but also in their history and their rich legacy of fine churches, villas and monasteries. You’ll travel through these towns on a day trip in a private car, and you can tell your driver how long you wish to stay in each place. Sorrento with its cliff-top position overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, bustling port, picturesque bays and panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast and surrounding hills, Sorrento has been a favorite resort since Roman times. Positano sits in a splendid panoramic position on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline. Its enchanting town center of delightful, pastel-hued houses surrounds the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta. Its laneways are lined with quaint, colorful shops and its numerous beaches are world-famous.

Praiano

Praiano is a small village on the sea which runs down the mountain to the sea. It is the place where the sun sets the latest.

Conca dei Marini

Continuing along the coastal road from Praiano you will come across Conca Dei Marini and Furore. The two towns are famous for its two natural gems: The Emerald Grotto in Conca dei Marini and the well known Fiord in Italy is in Furore. The houses in furore are all painted with various decorations and in Conca the famous “Sfogliatella” was invented. (The sfogliatella is pastry made with ricotta and dried fruit).

Amalfi

Amalfi's typically Mediterranean architecture, made up of lanes and characteristic white houses piled one on top of the other, makes it one of Italy's most beloved resort towns. Amalfi preserves important evidence of its prestigious past; visit the cathedral dedicated to St. Andrew which dominates the homonymous square.

Ravello

Ravello is situated in a more elevated position than the other pearls of the Amalfi Coast, boasting exceptional views of the coast and its marvelous villas and gardens. Please note that you will get off the vehicle as close as possible to the heart of the village, which is located in a pedestrian area. Since this is a Private Tour, you can stay here as long as you like within the 8 hours of the service. If you are not interested in visiting Ravello, you can decide to skip it and spend more time in the previous villages

Ricardo was very efficient, courteous, humorous and was very familiar with the entire region. He is an excellent driver and communicated well enough in English. He even sang and kept us entertained! All in all, it was a relaxing drive through the most spectacular and glorious views of the sea, hills and the coastline!

This was a very disappointing experience. The entire day was very rushed and we had so little time at each place. I had really looked forward to shopping in Ravello which was a more quiet lovely place with great ceramics shops. Since the traffic was heavy, the driver only gave us 40 minutes in Ravello, 60 minutes at the other two towns. In hindsight, I would have asked him to let us have two hours in Ravello so we could have lunch. Instead he offered and made reservations at a restaurant overlooking the coast which was quite expensive. It was nice he did that for us but he didn’t ask us how we wanted to spend our time. He just told us what we were doing. The driver did not speak much English and we definitely had a communication barrier.

We had a wonderful day! Serena (tour guide) was awesome and very knowledgeable and Ricardo (our driver) was the best! We felt very safe with him behind the wheel!

The tour was amazing. As other reviews say, you are in the car a lot but the views are stunning as you go. It’s a twisty mountain road and there is a lot to see in just one day. So set your expectations accordingly. Unlike others, we did have flexibility in our schedule but once again expect that you have 8 hours to work with overall. Our driver and guide were great!

Good overview of the area, however felt they rushed us a bit , Appreciative of the amount to cover. And all the parking limits only 1 hour . Asked if we were happy for them to book a restaurant for lunch, said ok, as long a reasonable price, as we have 3 children. Venue was nice, bit not very practical with minimum choices, and restaurant prices. They said all of Amalfi was expensive , however Would have preferred to have lunch at Amalfi, in piazza, where there was a large choice. Tour guide Julia and driver Erico were pretty good though.

We three had booked about a month ago from home. We were really looking forward to it. We were outside our apartment 5 minutes early to see our driver -Mario,talking on his phone. When we did get in the car we were told that our guide would be coming soon? Julia arrived about 10 minutes late so our start was about 15 minutes late. 5 adults in the car -that is 3 in the back seat for a full day tour on hot day was not comfortable. In past tours we have had a larger vehicle - more comfort. I realise that the traffic disruptions(road works etc )were unavoidable however it made for long periods of sitting close together with our guide and driver in voluble conversation in Italian. This to us was quite rude and not what we had paid a large number of Euros for! The coastline is spectacular and we would have loved to have spent a little more time In Amalfi and Positano wandering thru the street shops instead of being rushed through. While we were in the car for the long periods waiting,we would have loved some more history info and our questions answered. The lunch spot was a great choice with good food and great views. All in all we felt our Amalfi experience could have been so much better.

Our guide Maria Palescanďolo was wonderful, her English was perfect and she had a brilliant sense of humour, along with the excellent driver, Ricardo, we were taken on an excellent tour of the Amalfi coast, it was so well organised we some how managed to miss the crowds at all the places visited. Eventually to finish up at a superb restaurant for lunch, overlooking the sea with an amazing view. Thank you for a day to remember, if you want a trip along the Amalfi coast by an excellent company go with this company'.
