Il Quartiere Sanità si trova nel Vallone omonimo.... Qui anticamente si trovavano le cave di tufo.. Infatti rimangono molte di esse.. Alcune adibite a parcheggi altre un po' da recuperare... Era una zona extramoenia... Fuori dalle mura e adibita alla sepoltura sin Dall epoca greca... Sono infatti presenti e visitabili alcuni mausolei di epoca ellenistica e diverse catacombe come quelle di San Gennaro, San Gaudioso e San Severo.... Inoltre qui si trova uno dei cimiteri più scenografici e grandiosi di tutta l Europa.. Il Cimitero delle Fontanelle..... Che raccoglie migliaia di resti mortali sia della peste del seicento.. . sia le ossa translate qui con la soppressione dei monasteri in epoca napoleonica. Il quartiere merita una visita guidata e non... con sosta e pranzo in una trattoria o pizzeria tipica. Buon arricchimento culturale con una delle tante associazioni che si dedicano alla rinascita del posto.
