One of the best activities we have done on our trip, made even better by our biking guides who kept us safe, guided us on some amazing paths and roads including the via Appia, shared great information about Rome’s history, and we had laughs along the way. 10/5 if I could give it! Thankyou!

It was just me and my husband on this tour with Alberto. We stopped at several historic sites and Alberto carried a folder with him to show us closeups of the site or how it would of looked like centuries ago. This was one of our favorite activities in Italy and was recommended to us by another couple on their honeymoon. You should have some cycling experience because you do bike with traffic. The catacombs were closed when we went so we were given instructions on how to see other catacombs in Rome. Great adventure for anyone who wants to take a break from the city and go into the country.

Leo made this tour super fun and a little exciting. A ride through busy Rome where we got to see assertive Italian biking in action. Great history along the way. Beautiful ride with great food. Very quick to get going a no nonsense along the way

We arrived at the tour's starting point at 8:45am to start a five hour tour that was scheduled to begin at 9:00am. At 9:30am (45 minutes later) I was handed a phone and spoke to someone who seemed to be in charge and was told that the tour left without us... even claimed that we were not there on time. This was a gross lie! We were there, when we arrived we showed our confirmed reservation print-out with a QR code and was told to wait. Also around 9:30am two waiting for the German bike tour arrive and we talked about what was ahead... looking forward to the time on the Appian way. Finally, after waiting longer than I felt was necessary I was told that they'd buy my wife and I breakfast and I could join the 10:00am tour. Because the tour was five hours in length, and having other things planned for the day I protested, and they finally said they'd refund my payment. That's fine, but it took us a taxi ride both ways and the time spent... these were costs that we just had to bear plus the disappointment of no tour, this was a real disappointment. This is not a reliable contractor that ever should be used by TripAdvisor

A unique experience with a fabulous knowledgeable guide, We cruised along the river, through some wonderful parklands, then we were safely guided through the city to home. Can not recommend this tour more highly.

This was a lovely way to cap off a week long trip to Rome, and get out of the city to see some countryside. Guide was terrific, and as there was only two of us on the "small group" tour, it essentially ended up being a private tour, which gave us the opportunity to stop and linger where we wished. The Appian Way was beautiful, and the aqueducts impressive - especially for my engineer husband! However, we never could have attempted the complicated route on our own, so get a guided tour like this one.

The trip began and ended with a stretch of Tiber River trail. Our guide shared the story of Romulus and Remus in the spot where the twins were found. The next stage delt with street traffic which was an adventure. The Appian Way was peaceful but bumpy. Fortunately, we didn't stay with it overly long. The aqueduct section was interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable though he wasn't always able to communicate the full message.

This was an excellent way to see historic areas of Rome that are not in the city center. Great history, amazing views and wonderful adventure. If you are not a great biker, you may want to pass. You do have to be comfortable on dirt/limestone paths, uneven pavement and proficient in city riding (in areas). Guide was great and gave wonderful historical facts about sites. Husband thought it was amazing and great to get away from crowds.
