The private walking tour is the way to go. We actually did a 4 hour tour. The tour guide helped us better understand all we were seeing and quickly got us in and around the city. Additionally, she had skip the line tickets included in our package. This is more expensive but worth every penny

Greta is a very competent and professional guide for this beautiful city. Tourism to Florence has rebounded, I was just getting tickets for anything you can in advance.

Maria Cristina was very nice, but seemed quite inexperienced. Her was a bit difficult to understand.

Our guide, Ilana was incredible. You can walk the city on your own and think it’s beautiful, but if you want to have details constantly pointed out that tie together the rich history of Florence, go with Ilana. It was a fascinating day and we feel like we truly appreciate the city, the art, architecture, history and whimsical facts so much better. Plus, she’s one of the nicest humans we have ever met. Just a beauty soul who truly loves her city.
