This was something really different to do and a lot of fun. We chose this as we’re travelling with a teen who’s used to a lot of activity. This worked out well but in fact we all really enjoyed it a lot!

This was a fun experience -- it's wonderful to get out and see sights in a slightly more active way. We had Michael as our guide and he was good company and knowledgable -- versed in both history and as we found out, he's a biology student. He definitely made us feel like he knew what was going on in the boat. The only other "white water" rafting I've done was in the Catskills and this certainly had a different flavor . There are two brief sections of rapids and they are at the end. This was fun to do with my tween and teen and husband!

Extremely fun trip. Started slow and meandering and a lot of rowing and then we got to the rapids. We were drenched and laughing hysterically. So much fun. Our guide Michael was excellent. He provided all the details we needed. Very helpful.

What a great time with Daniele! Made my 66 year old mom feel so comfortable even though she was really nervous. It was a beautiful, calm activity away from the hustle of the street just above. What a wonderful way to see Rome, learn some things about the city from Daniele, and get some exercise at the same time. Definitely good for variety of ages and fitness levels, as long as you can climb in and out of the boat. We had a BLAST!

This was fun! Just by walking a few feet to the river, suddenly you are in a different world. More quiet and slower than the rest of Rome. The staff was great. They have really thought through the experience. A few notes… they recommended in the description to wear sturdy shoes with good traction and good support. It is important… you will be walking on uneven, slippery rocks as you enter and exit the boat. The experience wasn’t extremely demanding, but you will get a little bit of a workout while rowing and it does take a little strength and balance getting in and out of the boat. You will get wet! And it is river water. We washed all of our clothes from that day twice, and we washed and dried our tennis shoes. If you can spare room in your luggage for a pair of tennis shoes you don’t care about it would be even better… or like us just plan time to wash and dry shoes. We arrived there on the metro. The end point is downriver from the start point so it’s a different metro stop. The closest metro stop to the end point isn’t that convenient (15-20 minutes away). However the next day we realized that our metro passes were usable on the buses too, and there was a bus stop nearby, so we would use that if we did it again. Our 14-year-old enjoyed the experience, as did my wife and I. A different persecutive on Rome. You don’t see a whole lot of sites off to the sides of the river, but there are some, and our guide was knowledgeable and answered questions. The river and the walls, bridges, etc. are also of historic significance and our guide shared some interesting info about those.

Very nice arrangement by a very pleasant team. Heartily and warm atmosphere in all aspects, still expect a paddle tour rather than "rafting-tour".

Unusual way to spend my time in Rome but loved it! The guides were great. She provided a lot of history and stories while we saw Rome from a different perspective!

Arrived at the meeting point, looking for the guide, and Connie arrived holding an oar, which was a great idea to help us locate her. After a short walk to the river, we got kitted up and headed out onto the river. Just a party of 5 plus Connie. Easy paddling really, nothing strenuous at all, and don't need any kayaking experience either. Connie pointed out the sites, stopped for photo opportunities, and fed us on the riverbank at the half way stop. The two 'rapids' sections were easy enough but great fun getting a bit wet! At the end destination, it would have been good to have had a private area to get out of the wet, bottom-half clothes but we found an empty market marquee by the river for a quick change! The tour doesn't take you back to the start point but it was good to have the opportunity to wonder through a part of Rome back into the centre that we probably wouldn't have gone to otherwise. Really enjoyed the experience and a unique way to see a bit of Rome!

Such a fun time definitely worth booking! We took a break for some photos and pizza so that was also a great addition!

David_W

Something a bit different from the regular chaos of Rome which was very much welcomed by our two teenagers! Most of the journey is calm and quiet, then a short break for water and a slice of pizza (provided) before a couple of rapids (not too sinister and a chance to get wet - welcomed in the heat). Our guide filled us in with some interesting snippets as we went along and you get a different view of Rome. Only other comment is you don’t end up back where you started, which wasn’t overly clear in the tour description so it’s about a 20 min walk to the nearest metro station (Pyramide) once you’ve finished.
