Murano

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel/apartment/B&B in Rome and bring you to the rail station. A staff member will be waiting for you with your tickets and help to take the train to Venice. On your arrival in Venice, your private boat driver will wait for you holding a sign with your name at the station dock. Your unforgettable island tour starts with Murano. Murano is world-famous for Venice glass. You will have the chance to see a glassmaker blowing into a tube to create whatever he wants, even one of those whimsical chandeliers.

Burano

You will have your private transfer to Burano a picturesque island with multicolor houses along the canals. It is a paradise where inhabitants welcome you with flowers on their balconies and the art of “merletto” (a delicate lace).

Piazza San Marco

At the end of the Venice Islands Tour, you will have a final transfer to St. Mark’s Square. You will have 3 hours of free time to visit the marvelous city center and reach the rail station with your guide that will assist for the train back to Rome. Venice started out beautiful but after visiting the islands the weather changed drastically. We were drenched. But Donatella (bless her heart) drove on with the tour. I would suggest a backup plan for inclement weather. Pro: Having a driver and assistant to help me with the train was a great help! Also the boat captain was instrumental in getting us from island to island safely. Con: Pretty expensive for not having lunch included. Watch out for the vendors. They put much pressure on you to purchase items so one must be adamant if not interested. I would recommend this tour in warmer months. Donatella was very educated on the history of Venice.

Trying to visit the many beautiful sites in Italy is challenging. We decided to take a day trip from Rome to Venice by Train. Left the hotel at 6:50am and returned in the evening at 11:00pm. The trip was will coordinated, from our hotel pickup to ensuring we got on the right train, our tour guide (Donatella) met us in Venice. She coordinated our tour and was very knowable concerning the history of Venice. She made sure we got back on the right train at 6:30pm. Our driver was waiting for us when we returned to Rome and drove us to our hotel. I would definitely recommend this trip.

It was a great trip and the train was easy. The only item to make is better would be reservations or tickets for church in Venice

What a great day! Our guide, Donatella, gave us the best visit to Venice, Murano and Burano. It was a long day, but we were not rushed at any location (although we cut it pretty close getting to our train back to Rome, but we made it with 2 minutes to spare :)), had time to look around, get snacks and dinner. Donatella gave us so much information about each island and helped us get a good spot for a gondola ride. I highly recommend this tour!!

This trip to Venice was the highlight of our vacation. My 82 year old mother said she had always secretly wished to ride in a gondola! Our guide Daria handled our group well (kids, adults, and several older ladies). It was nice not to have to worry about logistics. The communication from Elisabetta was great.

This trip via Viator, was the best tour of our trip. It was worry free. They picked us up at our hotel and had a guide meet us every step of the way. The island tour was fabulous and our guides were amazing. This is a must if you are in Rome. We loved it!

The family wanted to experience as much of Italy as possible so we chose this tour from Rome. We were picked up at our hotel on time so we could make the 7:35 am train to Venice. A provider representative had our tickets at the train station and showed us where to board our train. The ride was about 3 hrs each way but comfortable and interesting to see the countryside outside Rome. We had a little difficulty finding our boat in Venice in spite of having directions from the provider. No signs with our name, several small boats. Our family really enjoyed the ride to Murano and Burano. Our Venice tour guide, Danielle, met us after that at the boat dock, holding a Venice flag. We walked through the city but didn’t go into the Basilica or Doges Palace as I thought we would. Long train ride back to Rome.
