Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about tying the science and technology of Galileo and other scientists withe the other art and sculpture that we had already seen. We gained a new perspective on a different area of the Medici Family and their influence.

This was one of the best museum tours of our visit to Firenze! We had our personable, engaging and knowledgeable guide Leonardo all to ourselves and learned so much! After a few days in Firenze, we understood the Medici patronage of the arts but this tour helped us understand the lasting legacy of their patronage of the sciences. Full of intriguing instruments that Leonardo brought alive for us through historical context. This museum tour should not be missed!

Good guide who really knew his stuff. Great presentation skills. Fantastic museum if you like how things work.

The museum is an extensive collection of instruments of all kinds and for science and geography geeks is awesome. Our guide was an art history major (not a critique) and thus not as versed in the tools and their usage as, say a science major might be.

Cristiano was an excellent Guide: knowledgeable and passionate about his subject, he had an excellent communication style which made what he was saying both interesting and enlightening. Thoroughly recommended.

This was a very good tour of the scientific advances of Galileo and those that came after him. Our Guide, Cristiano, was not only knowledgeable but also spoke about his subject in an excellent and enthusiastic way. We very much enjoyed our tour. Thank you!!!

It was a wonderful and educational tour! It gave us SO much to think about... many things are taken for granted now, it was interesting to learn the origins.

A great introduction to scientific discoveries of the early days to include Galileo, Capurnicus, Cosimo, Columbus, Americus Vespucius, and others. Our guide Leonardo was excellent at illustrating how the 14th and 15 century economic, scientific and political climate of Tuscany in general and Florence in particular impacted the development of science. The tour was very informative but not in a droning on and on way. There were so many interesting displays..., exhibits related to medical devices, astronomy, physics, cartography/maps/globes, like when they thought the world was flat and also after realizing it was not... Again our guide was excellent, both informative and entertaining with good sense of humor and an ability to speak to all levels of understanding within our group. Good for school age children to bring alive things they are learning in school and for adults to understand the driving forces behind the discoveries.
