You can not go to Trieste and not visit this beautiful castle! It should be a requirement of any visit. I was born in Trieste and ensure I do at least one visit of the castle and it’s garden each time I go back. In recent years a new director of the park has revitalised the place and helped to return it to it’s former glory. Definitely visit and go inside of you have never done so. It’s magical and the story of its creation and history is both tragic and beautiful

Il castello fu dimora dei soldati americani dal 1947 al 1954, restituendo Trieste all'Italia. Bello internamente, favoloso esternamente. Per chi volesse visitare il parco senza camminare, c'è una golf car, con partenza ogni 30' al costo di €6 per persona. Adiacente all'ingresso del parco vi è un parcheggio al costo di €2 per 1 ora, €4 per 2 ore e €7 per 3 ore.

We had an excellent walking tour with Lubos, who is exceptionally knowledgeable and immediately was able to tailor the tour to our interests- and delight. I mentioned a love of coffee and we went to two coffee shops that were a trip highlight for me. My husband has a scholar’s knowledge of European history and politics and Lubos was able to engage with him on a scholarly level that added even more context to what he had read in several books on Trieste before we went on the walk. Lubos was great and we highly recommend him!

This tour guide was FANTASTIC! He was very cool and very informative. The tour was the perfect amount of time and engaging throughout. I would highly recommend this tour! We only had a short amount of time in Trieste so this was a great way to cover a lot of things in one day!
