The information that was given was very knowledgeable the sights were breathe taking just the walk through history, it's a definite must if you can go

Rosa , our tour guide was amazing. She provided enough information about the sites without too much conversation. The scenery was beautiful and the whole trip very enjoyable.

The folks at Trip Advisor and the local tour group were excellent at communicating all the pertinent details of our tour. Our guide was an expert on the history of Pompeii and Vesivius. She was professional, yet friendly and personable. If you're considering this tour, bring a water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes. Getting around Pompeii is easy. The climb up Visuvius is challenging, but the spectacular views are worth it.

Pompeii was great and the tour guide we had inside Pompeii we very good however, Angela who was organizing the trip was organizing so many trips at the same time that we were waiting almost another hour for a bus to take us back to the cruise terminal. We were also split up from our friends that we booked with.

Tour guide late due to race she should have known about. Then we had to detour to another pickup point through heavy traffic. Then we had to wait at entrance because tour operator combines groups from other locations (and they were late). Result was we ended up with 15 minutes free time (basically none) to check out the sites ourselves because of all the delays. Then we were supposedly sorted to groups for singular return locations for the bus ride back but it looked like 3 people showed up and negotiated with operator to instead divert our bus to the airport for the 3 (out of maybe 20 people). Looked to me that the tour operator cares more about making money than providing a good experience.

I booked this trip 5 months early. The night before the excursion, I received a message informing me the pick up time would be 8:25, not 9:00. We were outside our ship at 8:10. No one with a sign with our name. No further information about who to look for. I tried calling, but no one answered. I messaged and was told we were early. This was at 8:30! Finally located a man holding a paper with our name on it. He said the driver was coming and to follow him. We walked far from the pick up spot indicon our confirmation email. And we waited..... Finally, at 9 am, Mauro arrived with 6 other passengers. We were stuck in the back. The other passengers were from Royal Caribbean cruise ship. We found out 4 of them had had their original excursion cancelled the night before, so we're last minute additions. Don't know why they would be picked up before someone who had booked 5 MONTHS earlier! Or why we were told we were to be picked up earlier, but weren't. Perhaps a driver error? We booked an English guide. There was no guide and the driver only spoke broken English. He basically just said, "Sorrento. Meet here in 40 minutes. " We did not have much time in each town and there was no planned lunch stop. This was a very rushed drive along a spectacular coast through horrible traffic. I am still angry about the late start and no guide. We deserve a refund.
