Museum of Wonder Drive Thru

The Museum of Wonder Drive Thru is a unique and unusual attraction located in the small town of Seale, Alabama [3, 5]. Created by artist and collector Butch Anthony, the drive-thru museum is constructed from repurposed shipping containers, each with windows offering a peek into a world of art, antiques, and oddities [3, 4]. Butch Anthony, a self-taught artist, began his journey by building a one-room log cabin at the age of fourteen, which eventually evolved into the original Museum of Wonder [4, 7]. As his collection grew, he created the Drive-Thru Museum in 2014 to accommodate the increasing number of visitors [3, 6]. Inside the containers, visitors can view a rotating display of Anthony's handcrafted designs and curiosities [4, 7]. Exhibits range from animal skeletons and taxidermied creatures to found-object art and his signature "Intertwangleism" pieces, which feature skeletons and bones superimposed on antique portraits [3, 7]. The museum is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is free to the public [3, 5].
