Dinosaurs In The Woods is a whimsical roadside attraction located near Barber Marina in Elberta, Alabama, featuring a collection of fiberglass dinosaur sculptures hidden among the trees [7, 10, 11]. Created by artist Mark Cline, these dinosaurs were originally commissioned by local businessman George Barber in 1991 as quirky lawn ornaments [4, 10, 15]. In 2011, four of these dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Brontosaurus, were moved to their current location, offering visitors a chance to discover these prehistoric creatures in a natural setting [4, 11]. Keep an eye out for all four as you drive or stroll along Barber Parkway [4, 7]. This offbeat attraction provides a memorable and family-friendly experience, perfect for a quick detour while exploring Alabama's Gulf Coast [4, 10, 16].
