From Mentone, AL, head north on AL-117 N/Lookout Mountain Parkway. Continue to follow Lookout Mountain Parkway for approximately 7 miles. The DeSoto Falls Picnic Area will be on your left. Note that cell service can be spotty in the area, so GPS directions may be unreliable. Parking is $4 per vehicle.

If you are already within DeSoto State Park, follow the signs for DeSoto Falls. From the main park area, it is approximately 7 miles to the picnic area. Be prepared for a walk along the Lookout Mountain Parkway, which can be busy with traffic. Once you arrive at the picnic area, the falls are easily accessible from the parking lot. Parking is $4 per vehicle.
