Discover more about Iguazú National Park

Iguazú National Park, established in 1934, protects the Argentinian side of the magnificent Iguazú Falls, one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders. Sharing the falls with Brazil's Iguaçu National Park, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers an immersive experience within a lush subtropical rainforest. The park's primary attraction is undoubtedly the Iguazú Falls, a system of 275 individual waterfalls cascading over a 2.7-kilometer span. Eighty percent of the falls reside within Argentina, allowing for up-close and personal encounters with the cascading water. The most famous of these is the Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo), a horseshoe-shaped cataract where immense volumes of water plunge with thunderous force, creating a mesmerizing display of power and mist. Visitors can explore the falls via a network of well-maintained trails and walkways, including the upper and lower circuits, providing different perspectives and varying degrees of proximity to the cascades. The Ecological Train of the Forest offers a convenient and environmentally friendly way to navigate the park, connecting different sections and minimizing environmental impact. Beyond the falls, the park is a haven for biodiversity, home to over 2,000 plant species, 400 bird species, and diverse wildlife, including jaguars, tapirs, monkeys, and caimans. The park is committed to accessibility, with over 90% of the trails adapted for visitors with disabilities, ensuring that everyone can experience the beauty of Iguazú Falls. Wheelchairs are available free of charge, and accessible restrooms and signage are provided throughout the park.
