If you are starting from the Grand Canyon Village, head south on AZ-64 S for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto the Bright Angel Trailhead entrance. Follow the road until you reach the Bright Angel Trail parking lot. Park your vehicle there, as there is no parking available at the Three Mile Resthouse itself. From the parking lot, locate the Bright Angel Trail, which starts at the trailhead. The Three Mile Resthouse is located approximately 3 miles down the trail. It is important to bring plenty of water and snacks for the hike, as the trail can be strenuous.

If you're using public transportation, take a shuttle bus from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center to the Bright Angel Trailhead. The shuttle service runs frequently, but check the current schedule as it may vary by season. Once you arrive at the Bright Angel Trailhead, follow the same directions as above to hike down the Bright Angel Trail to the Three Mile Resthouse.
