Take Route 72 (McClintock Dr) towards the 'Tempe Transportation Center'. Ride for about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the 'Tempe Transportation Center', transfer to the Route 48 bus towards 'Phoenix'. Ride for another 30 minutes until you reach the 'Camelback Rd & 56th St' stop. From there, walk east on Camelback Rd for about 10 minutes, then turn left onto E Sierra Vista Dr. Continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach the Quartz Ridge Trailhead.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can enjoy a scenic ride to the Quartz Ridge Trailhead. Start from downtown Tempe and head east on E University Dr. Continue until you reach S McClintock Dr and turn left. Ride north on McClintock Dr until you reach E Camelback Rd. Turn right on Camelback Rd and continue walking until you reach E Sierra Vista Dr. Turn left and ride until you reach the Quartz Ridge Trailhead. The total distance is approximately 7 miles and will take around 30-40 minutes.

Walk around the lake, enjoying the views, and continue walking towards E Curry Rd. From Curry Rd, head towards McClintock Dr and then turn left. Continue north until you reach E Camelback Rd. From there, turn right and walk until you reach E Sierra Vista Dr. Turn left on E Sierra Vista Dr and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach Quartz Ridge Trailhead. This route is approximately 5 miles and may take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
