    From Payson, Arizona, head east on AZ-260 E for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 300. Continue on Forest Road 300 for about 12 miles until you reach the trailhead for Horton Springs. Please note that the last portion of Forest Road 300 may be unpaved and can be rough in some areas, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Once you reach the trailhead, park in the designated area.

    While public transportation options are limited in this remote area, you can take a bus to Payson. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Forest Road 300. Once you arrive at the trailhead, follow the hiking trail that leads to Horton Springs.
