Car
If you're driving within Tonto National Forest, head towards the AZ-87 N highway. From the main entry points of the forest, such as the Four Peaks Trailhead or Saguaro Lake, follow the signs towards Payson. Once you reach the AZ-87 N, continue driving for about 18 miles until you reach the junction with the AZ-264 E. Turn left onto AZ-264 E and continue for another 10 miles. Then, merge onto AZ-101 Loop N, and take exit 30 for Scottsdale Road. Continue on Scottsdale Road until you reach the North Scottsdale area. The Marcus Landslide Trail is located at Scottsdale, AZ 85255, which is well-signposted as you approach the area.
Public Transportation
To reach the Marcus Landslide Trail via public transportation, first take the Valley Metro Bus Route 70 from the nearest bus stop in Tonto National Forest towards Scottsdale. After about an hour, transfer to the Valley Metro Rail at the Scottsdale stop. Ride the rail until you get to the Scottsdale Road stop. From there, you can either walk for about 20 minutes north along Scottsdale Road or take a local taxi or rideshare service to reach the trailhead located at Scottsdale, AZ 85255.
