From Atherton, head southeast on the Kennedy Highway (A1) towards Gordonvale. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit onto the Bruce Highway (A1) towards Cairns. Continue for about 10 kilometers and take the exit towards Babinda. Follow the signs for Babinda, and then turn right onto The Boulders Road. Continue along The Boulders Road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance to The Boulders. There is no entry fee, but parking may be limited, so arrive early.

From Atherton, take the local bus service to Cairns. The bus journey will take approximately 1 hour. From Cairns, transfer to a bus heading to Babinda. The journey from Cairns to Babinda takes about 40 minutes. Once in Babinda, you will need to walk or take a taxi to The Boulders, which is about a 3-kilometer distance from the town center. Expect to pay a small fare for the taxi if you choose this option.
