Car
If you are driving from Brisbane, take the M1 motorway heading north. Exit onto the Mount Glorious Road (also known as the D'Aguilar Highway) and follow the signs to D'Aguilar National Park. The park is approximately 30 km from the Brisbane CBD, and the drive should take about 40-50 minutes. Make sure to have a GPS or map handy as some sections of the road can be winding and may require careful navigation.
Public Transportation
To reach D'Aguilar National Park using public transport, take the train from Brisbane to Ferny Grove Station. From Ferny Grove, catch the 385 bus towards Mount Glorious. The bus will take you close to the park entrance. Be aware that bus schedules may vary, so check the latest timetable on the TransLink website. The park is a short walk from the bus stop, but be prepared for some uphill walking.
Taxi/Ride-Sharing
For a more direct route without the hassle of public transportation, consider booking a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Uber from Brisbane. The ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes and will cost around AUD 70-100 depending on traffic. Ensure that you provide the driver with the exact address: Mount Glorious Road, Mount Byron QLD 4312.
Bicycle
For the adventurous cyclist, you can ride from Brisbane to D'Aguilar National Park. Start your journey on the South Pine River bike path and connect to Mount Glorious Road. It is about a 30 km ride one way, featuring scenic views but be prepared for steep climbs. Always wear a helmet and bring plenty of water and snacks. This option is suitable for experienced cyclists due to the nature of the roads.
