If you're driving to West Head Lookout, start by getting onto the M1 Pacific Motorway from any location in Western New South Wales. Travel northeast towards Sydney. Once you reach the Sydney area, take the exit for the A3 (Pacific Highway) towards Hornsby. Continue on the A3 until you reach the intersection with the B65. Follow the B65 to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. After entering the park, follow the signs for West Head Road, which will lead you directly to the lookout. The drive takes approximately 1.5 - 2 hours from Sydney, depending on traffic. Note that there may be a park entry fee, so check the National Parks NSW website for current rates.

To reach West Head Lookout via public transport, start by taking a train from your location in Western New South Wales to Central Station in Sydney. From Central Station, transfer to the T1 North Shore Line train towards Hornsby. Get off at Berowra Station and from there, catch the 591 bus towards Cowan. Once you reach Cowan, you'll need to take a taxi or rideshare service to West Head Lookout, as public transport does not go directly to the lookout. The entire journey may take around 2.5 - 3 hours, depending on connections and waiting times.
