From the main entrance of Serra dos Órgãos National Park, head south on BR-040. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the city of Petrópolis. Take the exit toward Centro/Petrópolis. Once in the city, follow the signs for R. São Pedro Alcântara. The Catedral São Pedro de Alcântara will be on your left at R. São Pedro Alcântara, 60, Centro, Petrópolis. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a fee.

From the main entrance of Serra dos Órgãos National Park, take a bus to Petrópolis. The bus ride will take around 1 hour. Buses frequently depart from the park to the city. Once you arrive at the Petrópolis bus terminal, look for local buses or take a taxi to R. São Pedro Alcântara, 60, in Centro. The Catedral São Pedro de Alcântara is a short walk from the bus terminal, approximately 1 kilometer away. If you choose to walk, head east on Av. Koeler and then turn left onto R. São Pedro Alcântara.
