    If you are driving from Praia Baixo, head northwest on the main road (Rua 5 de Julho) towards the center of Praia. Continue straight for approximately 10 kilometers. As you approach the city center, follow the signs for Cidade Velha. Once you reach a roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida Cidade de Lisboa, which will lead you towards the coast. After about 5 kilometers, follow the signs to Praia Cidade Velha. There is parking available near the entrance of the site.

    To reach Praia Cidade Velha using public transport, take a 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) from Praia Baixo to the center of Praia. The fare is typically around 100 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudos). Once you arrive in the city center, look for another 'Aluguer' that goes directly to Cidade Velha. The fare for this leg of the journey will be about 150 CVE. Be sure to confirm that the driver is heading to Cidade Velha before getting in. The journey may take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
