From Praia de Atalaia, head east on the main road towards the town of São Filipe. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers. Once you reach São Filipe, follow the signs to Fogo National Park, which is about another 15 kilometers from the town center. The park entrance is located at coordinates 14.9812525, -24.3579131. Make sure to have a GPS or a map for better navigation.

Start your journey at Praia de Atalaia by taking a local taxi or a shared minibus (Aluguer) to São Filipe. The fare for this ride is typically around 200 CVE. Once in São Filipe, you can find another Aluguer heading towards Fogo National Park. The additional fare to the park is approximately 300 CVE. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver before boarding.

If you enjoy hiking and wish to explore more of the natural beauty, you can hike from the nearest village to Fogo National Park. Starting from the village of Chã das Caldeiras, which is about 10 kilometers from the park entrance, you can follow marked trails.
