Getting There

  • Walking

    SLOMA is located in downtown San Luis Obispo on Broad Street, adjacent to Mission Plaza. If you are in the downtown area, simply walk towards the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. The museum is a short walk west of the Mission, on the corner of Broad and Monterey streets. Look for the brightly colored building next to the creek.

    SLO Transit provides bus service within the city limits of San Luis Obispo. Check the SLO Transit website or use the Google Transit Trip Planner to find the best route to the museum. The Old SLO Trolley also provides service downtown. Bus fares are typically around $1.50 - $1.75 per ride.

  • Driving

    From Highway 101, exit onto Monterey Street and follow it into downtown San Luis Obispo. Turn onto Broad Street. The museum will be on your left. Metered street parking is available on Broad and Monterey streets. There are also 10-hour metered lots across from the Museum at Broad and Monterey, or one block away at Palm and Nipomo. Street parking costs $2.25-$2.75 per hour, and garage parking costs $2.00 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of $8.00. Hours of enforcement for street parking are Monday - Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. & Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
