Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Ciudad Perdida, head back to the main road leading to Santa Marta. Follow the signs towards Santa Marta, which will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Once you reach Santa Marta, navigate to the center of the city. From there, take a road heading towards Minca. After reaching Minca, continue on the road until you see signs for Quebrada Valencia. Park your car at the designated area and prepare for a short hike.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Quebrada Valencia via public transportation, first, return to the main town of Minca from Ciudad Perdida. You can take a shared taxi or a bus from the nearest point to Minca, which will cost around 10,000-15,000 COP. Once in Minca, look for a local jeep or bus that goes towards Quebrada Valencia. The fare for this trip is approximately 5,000-10,000 COP. Get off at the designated stop and start your hike towards Quebrada Valencia, which is about a 25-minute walk.

• Hiking

  Once you arrive at the Quebrada Valencia hiking area, be prepared for a 25-minute hike to the waterfalls. The trail is well-marked, but it's advisable to wear sturdy shoes as it can be slippery. The path may lead you through beautiful scenery, and you will soon reach the stunning waterfalls. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the hike.
