Car
From the main entrance of Arenal Volcano National Park, head southeast on Route 142 towards La Fortuna. Continue on Route 142 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 36. Take a left onto Route 36 and drive for about 10 kilometers until you reach the town of El Castillo. As you enter El Castillo, look for signs directing you to the Boat Launch. Turn right onto the road leading to the lake, and follow it until you arrive at Paseos en el Lago Arenal.

To reach Paseos en el Lago Arenal via public transportation, start at the nearest bus stop in La Fortuna. Look for a bus heading towards El Castillo; the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to stop at El Castillo. Once you arrive in El Castillo, ask locals for directions to the Boat Launch, which is a short walk from the town center. The cost of the bus ride is typically around 500-1,000 CRC (Costa Rican colones).
