Car
If you're traveling by car from San José, take Route 2 (Interamerican Highway) towards Cartago. Continue on Route 2 until you reach the intersection with Route 10. Take Route 10 towards Oreamuno. After around 10 km, look for signs directing you to Irazu Volcano National Park. The Prusia sector entrance is located about 4 km north of Sanatorio Durán, Oreamuno. Ensure you have local currency as there is an entrance fee to the park.

Public Transportation
To reach Irazu Volcano National Park via public transport, take a bus from San José to Cartago. Buses leave from the Terminal de Buses de San Carlos in San José. Once in Cartago, you will need to transfer to a local bus heading to Oreamuno. Inform the driver of your destination, Sanatorio Durán, which is about 4 km south of the park entrance. From there, you may have to take a taxi or walk to the park entrance, as public transportation may not reach the park directly.
