Car
If you are driving to Estación Los Planes in Corcovado National Park, start from the town of Puerto Jiménez. Head southeast on the Costanera Sur highway (Route 34) towards Osa. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn left onto the road to La Palma. Follow this road until you reach the entrance of the park. There is a sign indicating the entrance. Once inside the park, follow the signs to Estación Los Planes. The road can be rough, so be prepared for a bumpy ride.

To reach Estación Los Planes using public transportation, take a bus from Puerto Jiménez to the Corcovado National Park entrance. Buses typically leave from the main bus station in Puerto Jiménez. After arriving at the park entrance, you will need to hike or arrange for a local guide or transportation to get to Estación Los Planes, which is about a 10-kilometer hike from the entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services can be limited.
