Car
If you're driving from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, start by heading southeast on the main road towards the town of Santa Elena. Continue for about 30 minutes until you reach the intersection at Route 606. Turn left onto Route 606 and follow the signs for Canas. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will arrive at the town of Canas. The Church of Cañas is located on the northeastern side of the Catholic Church in Canas. Look for the landmark church building, and you will find the Church of Cañas next to it.

Public Transportation
To reach the Church of Cañas using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Monteverde to Canas. Buses typically leave from the main terminal in Monteverde. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and the fare is approximately 3,000 to 5,000 Costa Rican Colones (about $5 to $8 USD). Once you arrive in Canas, the Church of Cañas is located next to the Catholic Church. You can ask locals for directions or simply follow the signs towards the church.
