Walking
If you are in the center of Monteverde, start at the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Head south on the main road (Calle Los Camachos) for about 1 km. You will pass by several shops and restaurants. Continue straight until you reach the intersection where you will see a sign for Wildlife Refuge Monteverde. Turn right at the intersection and walk about 500 meters. The entrance to the Wildlife Refuge Monteverde will be on your left.

From the center of Monteverde, walk to the nearest bus stop located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Take a local bus heading towards Santa Elena. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the Wildlife Refuge Monteverde stop. Once you get off, walk back about 200 meters down the road; the entrance will be on your right.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Monteverde. Start from the center of town and head south on Calle Los Camachos. Continue for about 1 km, passing by shops and cafes. When you reach the intersection, turn right and bike along the road for about 500 meters. The entrance to Wildlife Refuge Monteverde will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
