Car
If you're driving from La Fortuna, take Route 142 south towards the town of Ciudad Quesada. Continue on Route 142 until you reach Route 35, where you'll turn left towards San Carlos. After approximately 10 km, take a right onto Route 1 (Pan-American Highway) heading south. Follow Route 1 for about 35 km until you see signs for Alajuela Province. Take the exit toward Alajuela and follow the signs to Sabanilla. The Hacienda Alsacia Visitor's Center is located at coordinates 10.1000073, -84.1946841. Look for the entrance that is marked with Starbucks signage.

To reach Hacienda Alsacia using public transport, start by taking a bus from La Fortuna to San José. This bus usually departs from the main bus terminal in La Fortuna and costs around 3000 CRC. Upon arriving in San José, transfer to a bus heading towards Alajuela Province. The fare for this leg is approximately 600 CRC. Once you reach Alajuela, you will need to catch a taxi or use a ride-sharing service to get to Hacienda Alsacia. The taxi ride from Alajuela to the Visitor's Center should cost around 5000 CRC and takes about 20-30 minutes.
