After about 20 minutes, you will reach the junction with Route 21. Turn left onto Route 21 and continue for about 18 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Nosara. You will then turn onto the Route 160, which leads directly to Playa de Nosara. The drive may take about 1.5 to 2 hours from Nicoya, depending on road conditions. Be prepared for some unpaved roads as you approach the beach. Keep an eye out for local wildlife crossing the roads.

For those opting for public transportation, you can take a bus from Nicoya to Nosara. Buses to Nosara typically leave from the main bus terminal in Nicoya. The bus ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to check the schedule in advance, as buses may not run frequently. The cost of the bus ticket is usually around $3 to $5 USD. Once you arrive at the Nosara bus terminal, you can take a taxi or walk to Playa de Nosara, which is about 5 kilometers away. Locally, taxis are available, and the fare should be around $10 USD.

If you prefer a more comfortable option, consider booking a shuttle service from Nicoya or Liberia Airport directly to Playa de Nosara. Several companies offer this service, and it’s advisable to book in advance. The journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, but you will enjoy a more direct route without the hassle of transfers.
