After crossing the dam, turn right and follow the signs to the park. The drive is approximately 30 minutes from downtown La Fortuna. The roads are paved and well-maintained, so a 4x4 vehicle is not required. Free parking is available at the entrance. Note that from Arenal Volcano National Park, the drive is about 30-35 minutes.
