From Santa Elena, drive approximately 7 km (4.3 miles) northeast towards the reserve. The road is a mix of paved and unpaved sections, with some potholes. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially during the rainy season. Follow signs for 'La Reserva Bosque Nuboso Santa Elena'. Free parking is available at the visitor center.

Public Transport
A local bus operates from Santa Elena town to the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. The bus schedule is limited, with departures around 6:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 12:30 PM, and returns around 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, and 4 PM. The bus fare is approximately $3 USD per person. Reservations are required and can be made through hotels/hostels or by contacting +506 8346 0748 or +506 8964 2288. Alternatively, Transportes Alfaro offers a shuttle service for around $8 USD per person round trip, bookable via WhatsApp at +506 8346 0748.
