If you are driving, start by heading towards the town of Samaná from wherever you are on the peninsula. Follow the main road (Carretera Samaná - Sánchez) heading to Sánchez. After approximately 30 minutes, continue to follow the signs for Playa Ermitaño. As you approach the area, a sign will direct you to the beach. The last part of the road may be unpaved, so drive carefully. Parking is usually available near the beach.

Public transportation (Guagua)
To reach Playa Ermitaño via public transport, take a guagua (shared minibus) from Samaná town heading to Sánchez. This ride should cost around 50-100 DOP and take about 30 minutes. Upon reaching Sánchez, you may have to take a local motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) to cover the last 10-minute distance to Playa Ermitaño. Motoconchos usually charge around 100-150 DOP for this short ride.

If you choose to take a motoconcho from Sánchez, the driver can drop you off at the nearest point to Playa Ermitaño. From there, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk through a small path leading directly to the beach. Ensure to follow the path that seems most trodden, as it will lead you to the sandy shores.
