Getting There

  • Bus

    From downtown Tampa, head to the Marion Transit Center located at 1211 N Marion St. Board the HART Route 4 bus towards St. Petersburg. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 1st Ave N & 28th St N. Transfer to the Route 74 bus heading towards Weedon Island. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the Weedon Dr NE & 18th Ave NE stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk. Head east on Weedon Dr NE, and you'll arrive at the Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center, located at 1800 Weedon Dr NE.

    If you are near the Tampa Riverwalk, take the Pirate Water Taxi to the Channelside area. From there, walk to the nearby Tampa Street and catch the HART Route 4 bus towards St. Petersburg. Ride for about 30 minutes and transfer to Route 74 at 1st Ave N & 28th St N. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Weedon Dr NE & 18th Ave NE stop. Walk east on Weedon Dr NE for about 10 minutes to reach the Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center at 1800 Weedon Dr NE.
