Starting from Húsavík, head southwest on Route 85. Continue on Route 85 for about 18 km until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn right onto Route 1 and continue for about 5 km. Look for signs directing you to Hljodhaklettar. Turn left onto the gravel road that leads to the parking area for Hljodhaklettar. The GPS coordinates for the parking area are approximately 65.9444° N, 16.5328° W.

From Húsavík, take a local bus that heads towards Akureyri. You may need to check the current bus schedules, as they can vary. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 85. From there, it is approximately a 5 km walk to Hljodhaklettar. Follow the signs towards Hljodhaklettar along the gravel road. This option may take longer, so be sure to plan accordingly.
