From the main square in San Gimignano, Piazza della Cisterna, head towards Via San Giovanni. Continue straight on this road until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto Via Vecchia and follow it until you reach the junction with Via della Madonna. Turn left and continue until you reach the Porta San Giovanni, the main gate of San Gimignano.
