Public Transport

From the center of Pompei (Piazza Bartolo Longo), walk along Via Roma towards the archaeological site. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes. Follow the signs for 'Pompei Scavi'. Be aware that the route can be busy with traffic and pedestrians.
Taxi
From the Pompei train station, a taxi to the Porta Marina entrance will take about 5 minutes and cost approximately €23-€28. Ensure the taxi is licensed and agree on the fare before starting your journey.
Driving
If driving, take the A3 highway and exit at Pompei. Follow signs to the archaeological site. Several parking lots are available near the Porta Marina entrance. Parking Zeus, located 50 meters from the entrance, costs approximately €1.50 per hour. Other parking options include Via Roma, 46 (€1.50 per hour) and Parcheggio Piazza Santuario (€10 per day). Be aware of unofficial parking attendants and always pay at official machines.
