Walking
From Ischia Ponte, near Castello Aragonese, follow the brown road signs towards 'Spiaggia Cartaromana'. Be aware that these signs may lead to the 'belvedere' viewing point, not the beach itself. Continue past the Conad grocery store and turn left before the cemetery. Descend the steep path to Vecchia Cartaromana. The walk takes approximately 30-45 minutes and requires a reasonable level of fitness. There is no cost associated with walking.
Public Transport
From Porto d'Ischia, take bus lines 8, C12, or C13 towards San Michele. Get off at the San Michele stop or the stop near the square overlooking Cartaromana Bay. From there, follow the walking directions to the beach. Bus tickets cost approximately €1.50 - €2.00.
Taxi Boat
From Ischia Porto or Ischia Ponte, take a taxi boat directly to Spiaggia di Cartaromana. Taxi boats are readily available and offer a convenient way to reach the beach. The cost is approximately €15-€20.
