Getting There

Walking
From the Pompeii archaeological site, head east on Via Villa dei Misteri until you reach the intersection with Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Turn right onto Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi and walk straight until you reach the Pompeii train station. At the station, board a train heading to Naples (Napoli Centrale). After approximately 30 minutes, get off at Naples Centrale. Once at Naples Centrale, follow the signs to the Metro Line 2 towards 'Centrale.' Transfer at Piazza Garibaldi to Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) and get off at the Museo station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Basilica of the Crowned Mother of Good Counsel: head south on Via Foria, then turn left onto Via Capodimonte. The Basilica will be on your right at Via Capodimonte, 13.

Bus
From the Pompeii archaeological site, walk to the bus stop located on Via Roma, which is just outside the site entrance. Take the EAV bus (Line 1) towards Naples. The journey will take about 40 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Via Capodimonte.' From the bus stop, walk a short distance by continuing straight on Via Capodimonte; the Basilica will be on your left at number 13.
