Getting There

Walking

From the main square in San Gimignano (Piazza della Cisterna), head south down Via San Giovanni. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via San Matteo. Turn right onto Via San Matteo and follow it as it turns into Via Roma. Keep walking straight until you reach the Porta San Giovanni (the city gate). After passing through the gate, continue straight on the road until you reach the intersection with Strada Statale 68. Turn right onto Strada Statale 68, and follow the road for about 8 kilometers. You will see signs for Bolgheri. Once in Bolgheri, follow the signs to Strada Lauretta. The Winery Castello di Bolgheri will be on your left at Strada Lauretta, 7.
Bus

From San Gimignano, walk to the bus station located at Piazza della Libertà. Catch the bus to Castagneto Carducci, which operates several times a day. Once you arrive in Castagneto Carducci, you will need to transfer to a local bus or walk. If walking, head south on Via Vittorio Veneto, continue until you reach the intersection with Via Bolgherese. Turn left onto Via Bolgherese and follow it for about 5 kilometers until you arrive in Bolgheri. Follow the road signs to Strada Lauretta, where the Winery Castello di Bolgheri is located.
