Getting There

Car
If you're driving from central Hitachi, head southeast on Route 6 towards the city of Kawasaki. Continue on Route 6 for approximately 35 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Merge onto Route 1 and follow the signs for Kawasaki. After about 10 kilometers, take the exit toward Tama Ward. Once you exit, follow the signs for Masugata. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers, and you will find Nihon Minka-en on your right at 7 Chome-1-1 Masugata.

Public Transportation
To reach Nihon Minka-en using public transportation, start by making your way to Hitachi Station. From there, take the JR Joban Line train towards Ueno. After about 30 minutes, transfer at Takamatsu Station to the JR Nambu Line. Board the train heading towards Kawasaki. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at the Kawasaki Station. From Kawasaki Station, exit the station and look for the bus terminal. Take the Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu bus number 16, which heads to Masugata. After a 15-minute ride, disembark at the Masugata bus stop. Nihon Minka-en will be just a short walk away, approximately 5 minutes, located at 7 Chome-1-1 Masugata.
