If you are driving to the Former Iwasaki Kayacho Mansion and Gardens, start from the center of Kai. Head east on Route 20 towards Kofu, and merge onto the Chuo Expressway. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Tokyo area. Take the exit towards Shinjuku and follow signs for Ikenohata.
