Car
If you are driving from central Kai, head south on Route 20 (Chuo Highway) towards the Tama Ward area. Continue following Route 20 for approximately 10 km. Once you reach the intersection with Route 409, turn left onto Route 409. After about 2 km, turn right onto Masugata Street. Nihon Minka-en will be on your left at 7 Chome-1-1 Masugata. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Nihon Minka-en using public transportation, start at Kai's central train station, Kai City Station. Take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo and transfer at Takao Station. From Takao Station, board the JR Yokohama Line towards Hachioji and get off at Kawasaki Station. From Kawasaki Station, exit the station and take bus number 11 towards Masugata. Get off at the Nihon Minka-en bus stop, and the entrance to the museum will be a short walk ahead.
