To reach Yokohama Port from Kai by car, start by getting on the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道) heading east. Follow the expressway for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the Yokohama area. Take the exit towards Yokohama (横浜) and follow the signs for Route 1 (国道1号) towards the city center. As you approach the port area, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Yamashitacho. The port is located at Yamashitacho, Naka Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa 231-0023. Parking may be available at nearby facilities, but check for fees as they can vary depending on the time of day.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first make your way to Kofu Station (甲府駅) in Kai. From there, take the JR Chuo Line (中央線) towards Tokyo. Transfer at Shinjuku Station (新宿駅) to the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line (湘南新宿ライン) heading towards Zushi (逗子). After approximately 1.5 hours of travel, disembark at Yokohama Station (横浜駅). From Yokohama Station, take the Minatomirai Line (みなとみらい線) to Motomachi-Chukagai Station (元町・中華街駅). Exit the station and walk for about 10 minutes towards Yamashitacho. You’ll see the port along the waterfront. Ensure you have a prepaid Suica or Pasmo card for easy travel; the one-way fare from Kofu to Yokohama is approximately 2,500 yen.
