Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, take the Kinki Expressway (Keiji Bypass) and exit at the Yoshino Interchange. Follow the signs for Yoshino, which will take you along Route 169. After about 15 minutes, you will see signs for Yoshinoyama. Drive up the mountain road, and you will find parking near Yoshino Mikumari Jinja, located at 1612 Yoshinoyama.

  • Train

    To reach Yoshino Mikumari Jinja by train, take the Kintetsu Yoshino Line from either Osaka or Nara. If you are coming from Osaka, board the train at Osaka Abenobashi Station and ride to Yoshino Station (approximately 1 hour). From Yoshino Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus bound for Yoshinoyama, which will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Yoshinoyama stop, and the shrine is a short walk from there.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to use a bus, you can take a highway bus from Nara to Yoshino. Board the bus at Nara Station, and after about 1 hour, you will arrive at Yoshino. From the bus terminal, take the Nara Kotsu Bus to Yoshinoyama. The shrine is within walking distance from the bus stop.
