If you are driving, take the R162 road towards the Arashiyama area. From central Kyoto, follow the signs for Arashiyama. Once you reach the Arashiyama area, look for signs directing you to Saga and Okochi Sanso. The GPS coordinates for Okochi Sanso Gorge Observation Deck are approximately 35.0164413, 135.6690222. There is parking available near the entrance, but please note that a parking fee may apply.

By Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take the JR San-in Line from Kyoto Station to Saga Arashiyama Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Saga Arashiyama Station, exit and head towards the Arashiyama area. You can either walk (approximately 20-25 minutes) or catch a local bus to get closer to Okochi Sanso. Look for bus stops that service the Okochi Sanso area. Note that a small entrance fee of 1,000 yen is required at Okochi Sanso, which includes a cup of delicious green tea.
