Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at the 'Marutamachi' station, which is about a 15-minute ride. Exit the station and head north on Marutamachi Street. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Shogoin Entomicho. Turn left on Shogoin Entomicho, and the Kyoto Handicraft Center will be on your right at number 17.

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, board the Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 206. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at 'Kawaramachi Marutamachi' bus stop. Walk north along Kawaramachi Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Marutamachi Street. Turn left and continue for another 5 minutes until you reach Shogoin Entomicho. Turn right on Shogoin Entomicho, and you will find the Kyoto Handicraft Center at number 17.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Kyoto Imperial Palace, you can walk to the Kyoto Handicraft Center. Head southeast from the palace towards Marutamachi Street. When you reach Marutamachi Street, turn right and walk for about 15 minutes. After you pass the intersection with Shogoin Entomicho, the Kyoto Handicraft Center will be on your right at 17 Shogoin Entomicho.
